The 14th Matchday of the 2023-24 Premier League season continues its course, and the clash between Manchester City and Tottenham, a game of utmost importance for both teams, ended in a 3-3 draw.

This match was crucial, as the points difference between them is only three units.

Rúben Dias’ words after City’s 3-3 draw against Tottenham in the Premier League.

It seemed like City was heading for victory with Jack Grealish’s goal, making it 3-2 for City with less than ten minutes remaining. However, a powerful header from Dejan Kulusevski in the last minute equalized the score at the Etihad, resulting in a share of points (3-3).

City was frustrated when the referee decided not to apply the advantage rule after a foul on Haaland, despite the Norwegian being able to provide a through ball to Grealish, who was facing the goalkeeper in a one-on-one situation.

Nevertheless, Rúben Dias expressed disappointment after the match but called to turn the page to face the usual busy Christmas schedule in English football.

“It’s tough for us. It’s the same feeling as against Liverpool. A game we could have won by four or five, but in the end, we didn’t due to small margins. These things can happen.” “We thought the game was good on many levels. We conceded goals, but still, the attitude, the way we played, and the aggressiveness were good.” “Unfortunately, we couldn’t secure the three points, and this is frustrating.” “The only way now is to move on.”

Despite that frustration, Rúben Dias found no fault in the effort and commitment of his teammates against Spurs.

The Portuguese international praised how the team performed in the match against the opposition.

“Overall, the team was really aggressive,” said Rúben. “We can talk about opportunities we need to capitalize on; we can also talk about goals we can’t concede, but in the end, it’s a mix of everything.” “The feeling we left the field with today is a bit frustrating. I think everyone knows the team was there today, and unfortunately, we didn’t get the three points.” “I can be proud of what everyone did because everyone gave their all to win today’s match.”
